Sales Engineer - Technology Vendor

Responsibilities:
- Partner with Account Executives to develop technical sales strategies and win new business.
- Discover customer requirements and position the most appropriate network performance and cybersecurity solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Lead technical discussions throughout the sales cycle, including RFP/RFI responses and competitive evaluations.
- Build trusted relationships across customer engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Accurately assess opportunities and support pipeline forecasting.
- Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide customer feedback and influence product direction.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory (approximately 25-40%).
Skills/Must Have:
- 10+ years' experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Network Architect, or Pre-Sales role.
- Strong enterprise networking background with hands-on knowledge of:
- Cisco routing & switching
- TCP/IP, BGP, SNMP, NetFlow
- LAN/WAN technologies
- Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Security concepts and network infrastructure
- Linux and Windows environments
- Virtualization, SDN/NFV and public/private cloud platforms
- Experience delivering customer presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales methodologies and consultative pre-sales engagement.
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or CCIE are highly desirable.
- Experience with network monitoring, observability or cybersecurity platforms is highly advantageous.
