Quick Facts Location: Alexandria, LA Start Date: 05/05/2026 Duration: Permanent, full-time Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off with home call Hours/week: 40-50 (varies with schedule) Employment Type: Full-time Licensure/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics, Neonatology training required Experience: Preferred 1 years in neonatal intensive care Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (based on experience and training) Benefits include: Competitive pay package discussed during interview Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability coverage Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available Retirement plans including 401(k) options Employee wellness and work-life balance programs What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with diverse case acuity Conduct daily rounds, manage patient care plans, and support family education Collaborate within a team of 2 Neonatologists and 4 NNPs Oversee 24/7 in-house NNP coverage and neonatal transports Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinical excellence Support approximately 1,500–2,000 annual deliveries Maintain compliance with evidence-based protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives Contribute to a collegial and supportive clinical environment that promotes professional development What You Need Required: Medical license in Louisiana or ability to obtain Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Pediatrics with Neonatology fellowship training Desire to work in a collaborative team setting Residency within immediate local area or willingness to relocate Preferred: 1 years of NICU experience Strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient care About the Assignment This full-time, permanent position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide advanced neonatal care at a distinguished hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.
