Wire Harness Design Engineer

Aircraft Wire Harness Designer
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing aircraft wire harnesses and a strong understanding of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical wire harnesses and related aircraft wiring installations.
- Create and modify wire harness designs, routing, drawings, and associated engineering documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable EWIS requirements, aerospace standards, and aircraft design practices.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, and other technical teams to resolve wiring and installation issues.
- Support design changes, engineering updates, and configuration requirements throughout the aircraft development and modification process.
- Review designs for manufacturability, installation, and compliance with engineering requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous aircraft or aerospace wire harness design experience.
- Strong working knowledge of EWIS rules, requirements, and design practices.
- Experience with CATIA for electrical or wire harness design.
- 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) experience is preferred, but candidates with strong CATIA experience will also be considered.
- Ability to interpret aircraft engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a cross-functional engineering environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting business jets, commercial aircraft, military aircraft, or other aerospace platforms.
- Experience taking wire harness designs from initial layout through production and installation.
- Familiarity with aircraft electrical systems and wiring installation requirements.
