Cake Decorator

Responsible for decorating cakes and other baked goods to create visually appealing, customized designs for various occasions like birthdays, weddings, holidays, and special events.

Essential job functions include maintaining presentable and adequately filled shelves and displays, controlling freshness by date coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily, wrapping, packaging, and pricing all products accurately and legibly, maintaining the regular cleaning and sanitation program established by company policies, maintaining good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service, working with customers to understand their vision and create customized designs for cakes, including color schemes, themes, and messages, managing multiple cake orders and ensuring timely delivery, particularly during peak seasons, greeting all customers and being observant to your surroundings, and abiding by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

Supplemental job functions include answering customer calls and taking special orders, and assisting in baking products when needed.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required include strong communication skills to provide adequate customer service, dexterity in hands to wrap, package, and decorate products, the ability to read and write to properly tag and price the products, previous experience decorating cakes, the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed, and the ability to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
