MRI Technologist-Imaging Orland Park Full Time Midshift

The salary range for this position is $38.31 - $55.55 hourly. Placement depends on experience and internal equity; union positions follow collective bargaining agreement. MRI Technologist This position is full-time, 72 hours per pay period, day shift 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (with occasional 1st shift coverage) with alternating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Maintain patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post‑procedure care. Produce diagnostic‑quality MRI images using approved protocols. Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges. Review images before completion and initiate corrective action if diagnostic adequacy is not met. Administer contrast as per policy, including screening, IV access when required, monitoring, and response to adverse events. Operate and maintain MRI equipment and imaging room, ensuring readiness. Identify equipment issues and follow up with service processes. Coordinate exam flow and prioritize time‑sensitive studies. Document accurately and timely in EPIC/Visage, including exam set‑up, image routing, result availability, and charging accuracy. Adhere to organizational values, ethics, compliance, and quality and safety standards (radiation safety, MRI safety, infection prevention, etc.). Ensure a positive patient experience throughout care delivery. Support department initiatives and additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program. Certification: ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or ARMRIT. Basic Life Support (BLS). Benefits
