Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency with financial software such as Excel, Quicken, and Quickbooks; experience with estate accounting software is a plus.

  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive client information.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with a professional and poised demeanor when interacting with referral sources and leadership.

  • Proactive approach to research and a strong desire to expand expertise in forensic accounting, family dynamics, and client care needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage comprehensive fiduciary accounting records, including processing expenses, credit card charges, and accounts payable, while conducting rigorous monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

  • Maintain meticulous accounting files, proactively evaluating and implementing software improvements to optimize office efficiency and internal controls.

  • Execute recurring, monthly data entry for diverse client projects—including trusts and conservatorships—while preparing accurate draft budgets and establishing effective tickler systems for upcoming invoices.

  • Spearhead forensic accounting research projects to trace assets and uncover financial discrepancies, providing actionable data to the team lead to identify and mitigate potential financial exploitation.

  • Act as a professional, poised primary point of contact for referral sources, ensuring that client needs are identified, documented, and communicated clearly to the leadership team.

  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to identify and pursue professional development opportunities, continuously expanding expertise in fiduciary services, forensic accounting, and the evolving needs of our clients.
