Pharmacy Technician

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a certified pharmacy technician with at least two years of pharmacy technician experience. They demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care in an ambulatory oncology setting. While hospital pharmacy experience (six months or more) is preferred, the candidate should excel in accuracy, communication, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Working hours: This will be a dayshift with no weekends and no holidays.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy technician training program.
• Preferred: Two years of college credit.

Work Experience

• Required: 2 years Pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center or retail pharmacy.

Licenses and Certifications

• Required: PHTR - Reg Pharmacy Technician Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP). Upon Hire
• Preferred: CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Upon Hire
• Preferred: Current Intravenous Medication Certification (IV-Sterle Products) approved by the Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Upon Hire

Other Requirements: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
