Freelance Art Director

Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Creative Director who combines exceptional visual taste, strategic thinking, and hands-on creative leadership. You’ll shape bold creative ideas, lead brand and campaign work, and elevate the quality of design across every touchpoint.
\nWhat You’ll Do
\n- \n
- Set the creative vision and visual direction for major brand and campaign initiatives. \n
- Develop distinctive, contemporary brand identities, campaign concepts, and visual systems. \n
- Lead creative from initial brief through final execution across digital, social, video, motion, print, and experiential. \n
- Create storyboards and visual narratives that bring concepts to life. \n
- Translate complex technology, products, and business ideas into compelling visual stories. \n
- Stay current with emerging design trends, technology, AI-assisted creative tools, and cultural shifts. \n
- Work hands-on in concepting, art direction, design, and creative refinement. \n
- Present and sell creative concepts to senior clients and stakeholders. \n
- Collaborate closely with strategy, account, and multidisciplinary creative teams. \n
- Mentor and inspire Art Directors, Designers, ACDs, and creative partners while raising the bar for craft and conceptual thinking. \n
What You Bring
\n- \n
- 12+ years of agency experience in branding, design, advertising, or integrated creative. \n
- 3+ years in a senior creative leadership role. \n
- A standout portfolio showcasing sleek, sophisticated, contemporary branding and visual design. \n
- Experience with technology, digital products, innovation, consumer, or modern B2B brands. \n
- Exceptional art direction, visual design, and storyboarding/visual storytelling skills. \n
- Proven ability to build visual identities and scalable, multi-channel creative systems. \n
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills. \n
- A hands-on approach—you’re comfortable both setting the vision and getting into the work. \n
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and elevate multidisciplinary creative teams. \n
