MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING General Laborers in the Indianapolis , Indiana, area !
Pay rate: $19.50/hr
Shift: 1st shift Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Job Summary:
Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace safety e) Lakeside Book Company Material Handler Lakeside Book Company - Formally the LSC Communications Location. This job is for our Distribution Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and Inspect: Unload and check incoming shipments for quality, damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Verify Orders: Compare and verify received item quantities against purchase orders.
- System Entry: Log and enter received items into the warehouse management system or inventory management software.
- Report Issues: Identify and report any missing, damaged, or incorrect products to supervisors or carriers.
- Organize Stock: Sort, store, and route products to the correct warehouse locations.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, including wearing required safety shoes and using proper safe lifting techniques for weights up to 50 lbs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability work with minimium supervision
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 lbs.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
- Use a handheld scanner
Dress code: General Warehouse attire/ Closed Toe Tennis shoes
