The Position

Accession the cases following the SOP’s for priorities, solve “problem” case and/or errors committed during the accessioning of the sample.

Responsibilities

• Work with Front End Supervisor to ensure that the sample collection protocols are strictly followed.
• Keep the accession area organized.  
• Assist with the training of Accessions’.
• Assist the cytology cases remaining from the day before.
• Perform any other related functions and responsibilities.
• To Fulfill duties and responsibilities of the position as stipulated in the Job Description.   Conform with all the Company’s Human Resources Policies.
• Observe the safety and hygiene measures established by the Company.
• Not engaging in improper, disorderly, criminal, or immoral behavior that may reasonably affect the best interests of the Company.
• Comply with the orders and instructions of your direct supervisor.
• Do not compete with the activity and business of the Company.
• Contribute to improving the productivity and competitiveness of the Company.

Requirements and Skills

• 1 year experience in Accessioning and/or Data Entry. 
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.  
• Able to work rotating shifts.  
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established deadlines.  
• Self-motivated. 
• Able to coordinate and establish priorities.  
• Proficient in computer software such as: Word, Excel, Power point.   
• Ability to read and understand basic elements of medical orders and requisitions.

Working Conditions/ Physical Activity:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.  
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
