Industry Oil & Energy Type Public Company About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Compliance to spearhead its global program, ensuring the highest standards of governance, oversight, and reporting in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and enhancing the compliance strategy, infrastructure, and culture of integrity within the organization. This executive role demands a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, including the oversight of policies, training, monitoring, and global compliance initiatives. The Head of Compliance will also manage a small, high-performing team, supervise external counsel and advisors, and serve as a key liaison for board-level reporting and regulatory engagement. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' compliance experience, with a background in energy, utilities, or a highly regulated industry. Experience in a public company environment with exposure to board reporting is essential, as is a strong understanding of U.S. regulatory regimes such as FERC, SEC, anti-corruption, and trade compliance. The role requires a proven track record in handling regulatory inquiries, investigations, and enforcement matters, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a JD or advanced degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in global compliance frameworks, including policy development and training programs, and experience in managing and developing small, high-performing teams.
