Commercial Construction Project Engineer

A leading Salt Lake City area commerical general contrator is looking for a Project Engineer who wants to be involved, challenged, and given the opportunity to grow.


You’ll work directly alongside Project Managers and Superintendents, gaining hands-on exposure to the full construction process-from preconstruction and procurement through execution and closeout.


You’ll be part of a team delivering complex projects throughout the Salt Lake City area, with the resources, mentorship, and project exposure to build a long-term career in construction management.


What You’ll Be Doing


• Support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the life of the project
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and project correspondence
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and procurement
• Track schedules, costs, materials, and project documentation
• Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
• Work closely with field teams to solve problems and keep projects moving
• Assist with quality control, punch lists, closeout, and turnover
• Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and overall project management


What We’re Looking For


• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Commercial construction experience through a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, internship, or similar role
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working with both field and office teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving construction environment
• Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software experience is a plus
• Someone who wants to learn, take ownership, and continue advancing
