Director Of Human ResourcesThe Director of Human Resources serves as a pivotal member of the University Health Partners of Hawaii (UHP) leadership team. This role is responsible for guiding and managing the comprehensive administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resource functions. During the first three months, this role will be performed primarily in-office. After the completion of the orientation period, there will be the option of transitioning to a hybrid role, offering a flexible work arrangement that combines remote work (three days per week), with in-office collaboration.Full-Time Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pmEssential Job Duties and FunctionsDevelopment and execution of HR strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.Review UHP's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters, and provide recommendations for improvement to executive management.Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to HR matters.Coordinate major recruitment searches within UHP.Communicate changes in UHP's Human Resources policies and procedures.Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of UHP's wage, salary, and benefit programs.Consult with legal counsel as directed by the CEO on HR issues.Collaborate directly with department managers and chairs to support their responsibilities in carrying out their responsibilities on Human Resource matters.Recommend, evaluate, and implement staff development initiatives for UHP.Manage and mentor the staff in the Human Resources department.Participate in the HR Committee of the UHP Board of Directors.Complies with all legal requirements and company policies.Perform all other duties as assigned.Factors for Success in the position:Ability to provide professional and thorough consultation to managementCritical thinking and evaluation skillsSteadfast commitment to ethical practicesHigh degree of cultural awarenessStrong business acumenAdaptability and flexibility within a constantly shifting landscapeProven ability to mediate and resolve interpersonal conflicts effectively and impartiallyAbility to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders across the organizationQualification RequirementsEducation/Training/ExperienceMinimum:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Three (3) years of experience in an oversight capacity within an Human Resources environmentPreferred:SPHR Certification or SHRM-SCPTen (10) years of experience across varied Human Resources areas, with work experience in the healthcare industry and/or an academic environmentSkills KnowledgeMinimum:Strong written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacyStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Strong organizational skills.Comprehensive working knowledge of employment lawsReadily adapts to change and is open to technological advancements.BenefitsGenerous time off benefits100% employee health and dental coverage and visionFlexible spending planRetirement plan with up to 3% dollar-for-dollar company matching contributions100% company paid group Life/AD&D/LTD insuranceEmployee assistance program (EAP)Pet Insurance, Prepaid legal with competitive ratesUHP is an EEO/AAP Employer.
