Endoscopy Technician

Overview KARL STORZ Endoscopy - America is seeking an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist to support our advanced endoscopy and imaging systems within a healthcare facility. In this role, you will provide in-room technical support, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance for minimally invasive procedures. You will train clinical staff on proper use and care of KARL STORZ systems, ensure adherence to reprocessing and infection control standards, and coordinate service needs. This position blends hands-on clinical support with strong customer service, helping deliver safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Provide onsite, in-room technical support for endoscopic and imaging systems during procedures Set up, test, and configure endoscopy equipment prior to cases Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical and connectivity issues Support adherence to endoscope reprocessing and infection control standards Train and educate clinicians and staff on proper equipment use and care Monitor equipment performance and coordinate repairs or preventative maintenance with service teams Maintain inventory, manage loaner equipment, and ensure equipment readiness Document service activities and escalations according to company and hospital policies Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflow and minimize procedure delays Uphold KARL STORZ standards for safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction Key Technical Skills Endoscopic equipment setup and operation Medical device troubleshooting Knowledge of OR/endo suite workflows Endoscope reprocessing and infection control practices Basic electronics/mechanical aptitude Customer service and clinician support Technical documentation and reporting Inventory and asset management Clinical training and education delivery Familiarity with hospital safety and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, Joint Commission) Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Qualifications Certification in endoscopy or reprocessing (e.g., IAHCSMM/CBSPD) preferred OEM or vendor technical training in endoscopic equipment Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred OSHA and infection control training Valid driver’s license if travel between facilities is required #J-18808-Ljbffr Stryker Corporation
