\n Northwest Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Physician to join its ICU team in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time, inpatient-only critical care opportunity with no outpatient or pulmonary clinic responsibilities, offering strong clinical support, flexible scheduling, and a highly competitive compensation package.\n

Position Overview\n

\n
• Full-time, inpatient-only ICU position
\n
• 14 twelve-hour shifts per month (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
\n
• Flexible block scheduling available
\n
• 35-bed ICU
\n
• Cerner EMR system
\n
• Physician-led supervision of advanced practice providers (APPs)
\n
• Estimated credentialing timeline: ~90 days (temporary privileges may be available)
\n

Qualifications\n

\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in one of the following: \n
  \n
  • Internal Medicine / Emergency Medicine + Critical Care Medicine
  \n
  • Internal Medicine + Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine
  \n
\n
• Must be comfortable managing a high-acuity ICU environment
\n
• H1B visa support available for physicians already counted in the cap
\n
• J-1 visa waivers not accepted
\n

Procedural Responsibilities\n

\n
• Ventilator management
\n
• Non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
\n
• Chest tube insertion
\n
• Bronchoscopy
\n
• Central and arterial line placement
\n
• Dialysis catheter insertion
\n
• Intracranial pressure (ICP) evaluation and management
\n
• Hemodynamic management (volume status and blood pressure)
\n
• Lumbar puncture
\n
• Paracentesis
\n
• Thoracentesis
\n
