Compass Surgical Partners is seeking an experienced clinical leader to serve as Director of Nursing at Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center. As the senior clinical leader for the center, you’ll be responsible for building and leading the clinical team, ensuring exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance, and establishing the clinical standards and operating practices that will support the center from launch through long-term growth.

Working closely with the center CEO, physician partners, and Compass clinical leadership, you’ll play a critical role in creating a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring the center delivers safe, efficient, high-quality cardiovascular care.

Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center is a new 8,000-square-foot cardiovascular ASC located in Henrico, Virginia. With one procedure room, the center will provide specialized outpatient cardiovascular care, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Developed in partnership with Bon Secours Mercy Health, AlignedCardio, and Compass Surgical Partners, Short Pump combines cardiovascular expertise and the strength of an established health system with Compass’s expertise in developing and managing high-performing ambulatory surgery centers.

Role Summary:
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all nursing services and clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care. This full-time, exempt leadership role supervises the clinical team and manages patient care for outpatient cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, across one procedure room.

Hours:
Full-time, Monday–Friday

What You’ll do:

• Lead and manage nursing and clinical teams

• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control

• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supply management

• Collaborate with physicians and administration to support center goals

• Serve as administrative leader in the Administrator’s absence

What You’ll bring:

• Active RN license with BLS, and ACLS certifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 2+ years of nursing leadership, preferably in outpatient surgery

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000-160,000 annually; also eligible for annual target bonus

Compensation Range: $130K - $160K
