Accountant I

Central Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team. This position works closely with the Manager of Accounting and Senior Accountant to support the cooperative's accounting and financial operations.

Responsibilities include:

· Accounts payable processing

· Preparing schedules for the annual audit

· Assisting with the annual operating and capital budget process

· Supporting payroll and employee benefits administration

· Performing general accounting duties and providing accounting support throughout the organization

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

· Two years of related accounting experience preferred

· Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

· Ability to work effectively with employees across the organization
