Details Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting Care for obstetrical patients including antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients Perform triage of obstetrical patients and Non Stress Tests (NST) Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns 13-week assignment length 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night schedule (0700-1930 or 1900-0700) Every other weekend or every third weekend commitment required Requirements Active Minnesota RN license required (in hand or proof of application at time of consideration) Current certifications required: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) BLS certification required AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred Minimum 1 year of RN experience with strong OB background Experience with postpartum hemorrhage management preferred Level I Nursery experience preferred MedSurg experience is an additional asset Additional Information Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract Minnesota state law requires in-person Livescan fingerprinting completed on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency Travelers are responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements related to fingerprinting First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-727272.
