Retail Stocker / Merchandiser

Summer Student – Otsego, MN Location: Plymouth, MN, US 55447 Job Type: Temporary, Full‑Time/Part‑Time (Summer) Pay : $16‑17/hour Responsibilities Perform standard and repetitive assembly on production lines. Operate shop machinery and hand-tools such as presses, custom tooling, air drivers, and torque wrenches to complete production work orders. Participate in lean / 6S activities, maintain standards, and assist in implementing improvements. Perform other duties as assigned, including relocation to other stations, positions, and departments within the experience range. Pick and prepare materials and products accurately for production and customer orders using RF scanners or pick documents. Pack, label, and ship orders according to customer and carrier requirements. Verify order accuracy and complete shipment audits using computer systems. Enter shipment data and maintain accurate records in ERP systems. Organize inventory and support cycle counts, stock rotation, and process improvements. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior work experience preferred but not required. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and working with decimals and fractions. Ability to use scanners, RF guns, and basic computer systems for inventory tracking and data entry. Knowledge of standard methods for picking, packing, and handling materials in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy, including self‑checking work. Basic problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to use basic tools and equipment safely. Awareness of surroundings to support a safe, hazard‑free work environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, assignments, and work schedules. Physical Effort & Working Conditions Standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling/crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching are performed frequently (2 to 5 hours per day). Work may involve moving objects, working with others, and working alone as appropriate.
