Cloud Devops Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer for a leading manufacturing client in Tampa, FL. This individual will join a highly visible Technical Platform team and serve as a senior-level cloud engineer responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building AWS environments from the ground up, owning architecture decisions, and leading cloud initiatives in production environments. This role will focus heavily on AWS, EKS/Kubernetes, IAM, cloud security, networking, and infrastructure automation while providing technical leadership and guidance across multiple IT teams. The hiring manager is looking for someone who can operate independently, communicate technical decisions effectively, and bring a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset to a fast-moving environment where they will have direct impact on cloud strategy, architecture standards, and enterprise technology initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of Senior Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or DevOps Engineering experience
• Expert-level AWS experience in an AWS-first environment
• Hands-on experience architecting and building AWS environments from scratch
• Strong EKS/Kubernetes administration and architecture experience
• AWS IAM expertise (roles, policies, permissions, security controls)
• AWS Security and Cloud Governance experience
• VPC architecture, networking, routing, subnets, and connectivity design
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, and Lambda
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred, IaC required)
• Scripting/automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to clearly explain projects they personally designed, built, and owned
Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills
