Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, 34-bed unit with average daily census of 27, every other weekend required, floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Adult to geriatric patient population with diverse case mix including appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, and post-surgical patients
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Hands-on experience with NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs
• Contract includes 12 orientation hours with comprehensive interdisciplinary support team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Maximum 7 days requested time off available (blackout dates may apply)
• Travel nurses and first-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS and NIH certifications required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, central line management, and wound care
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; incomplete compliance may result in delayed start
