Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float Pool

Location: West Hollywood, CA 90048
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 17 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 4x12 Hours | 36 or 48 Hours/Week | Weekends Required
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:
Local: $60–$65/hr
Traveler: $60–$65/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license at time of submission — Required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience — Required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications — Required
• PA Line and Swan-Ganz experience — Required
• Large hospital experience — Required
• First-time travelers accepted with experience at a 400+ bed facility
• Strong critical-care assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Flu vaccination — Required
• Successful completion of EKG exam on the first day of orientation
• No pending California license accepted

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients
• Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions
• Manage and monitor patients with PA lines and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Perform ongoing assessments and identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to MS, Telemetry, PCU, Stepdown, Overflow, and other assigned units
• Float to Overflow PACU and other appropriate units as required
• Provide safe patient care across multiple units within the float pool
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies
• Complete required orientation, competency assessments, and unit training
• Work required weekends and maintain flexibility to float
• Perform other duties as assigned
