Infectious Disease Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Location: MedCBO, Inc., Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States Job Type Independent Practice Opportunity (Not an employed physician position) Overview This posting is for physicians interested in establishing or transitioning into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity, while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. The physician governs clinical operations, clinical decisions, and sets patient care policies. MedCBO does not direct patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope, develop professional relationships within the medical community, coordinate payer credentialing with physician participation as required, determine clinical services offered, and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership, community‑based care interest, leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure.
