Job Description:


- Unit Information:
- Location: Northern Virginia (30 miles outside Washington, DC)
- Address: 24440 Stone Springs Blvd, Dulles, VA 20166
- Beds: 10 Labor beds, 13 Postpartum beds, 2 ORs
- Staff: Rapidly growing team with 4-5 Labor RNs and 2 Postpartum RNs on day and night shifts, plus an OB scrub tech.

- Team Support:
- Lactation consultants available
- Level 2 NICU staffed with 2 RNs 24/7
- In-house OB Hospitalist and Neonatology provider available at all times

- Staffing Details:
- Day Shift: 4-5 Labor RNs/shift; 2 Postpartum RNs/shift; Birth registrar/scheduler M-F
- Night Shift: Same staffing as day shifts

- Patient Care:
- Patient ratios vary depending on stages of labor
- Procedures: Labor, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, inductions, OB ED (triage)


- Equipment:
- Labor tubs for midwifery patients
- Fetal monitoring system
- EMR: Meditech and CPN

- Hiring Profile:
- Must Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor experience
- Preferred:
- Flexibility and teamwork skills

- Best Personality Fit:
- Enthusiastic about the unit's growth opportunities
- Strong culture of collaboration and teamwork

- Certifications Required:
- ALS, BLS, NRP, Fetal monitoring, C-EFM

- Floating Areas:
- Possible assistance in Postpartum if needed

- Dress Code:
- Scrubs provided by facility

- Weekend and On Call:
- One to two on-call shifts preferred per month

- Positions Available:
- 1-2 positions open; guaranteed hours of 36
- Contract length: 91 weeks
