Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description: Summary of PositionThe Quality Assurance Specialist supports the quality assurance program and its’ initiatives under the guidance of the Quality Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the development and sustained maintenance of procedures and work instructions within Quality Management SystemAssist the Quality Manager with internal and external auditsLead and facilitate RCCA analysis (Root Cause Corrective Action) for all internal and external mattersPerform measurement tool calibrations and maintain recall system per QMS requirementsProvides technical guidance to support company’s quality objectivesPrepares documents and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trendsThis list is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications and requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageAssociate’s Degree or equivalent experienceMust have experience with ISO9001Must be familiar with the methodology of Root Cause Corrective Action analysisAbility to read and interpret blueprints and other related engineering requirementsPossess strong working knowledge of measurement tools, such as: micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicatorsStrong communication and organizational skills are a mustMust have strong working knowledge of QMS systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Experience3+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing and quality assurance environment using the criteria listed abovephysical requirementsOffice – will be required to sit at desk using computer, standing and walking for 8 or more hours each dayManufacturing – will be required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach in various capacities throughout the dayWill be required to lift 0-10 pounds regularly, up to 20 pounds occasionally, and up to 30 pounds infrequently #J-18808-Ljbffr
