When you join RadNet as our Mammography Training Director, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes. Job Summary The Mammography Training Director is a critical leadership role at RadNet. RadNet screens more women for breast cancer than any other provider in the country and upholds the highest standards for quality and early detection through state-of-the-art technology. The Director will work closely with the lead mammography technologists and management across a determined region of the country. The ideal candidate will have outstanding leadership, training, communication, and organization skills, and the ability to identify deficiencies in a mammography program and develop meaningful curriculum and resources to address identified needs. The Training Director will provide regular updates on program status to RadNet executive leadership and will ensure training is delivered on proper patient positioning, operation of mammography systems, QA protocols, and the use of risk assessments and patient compliance tools. They will work with stakeholders to ensure new technologists receive training to build confidence and skill, and will provide regular feedback to lead technologists to drive continuous improvement in the RadNet Mammography Program. Responsibilities Travel to RadNet sites to assess training needs and create programs and resources that enhance mammography effectiveness. Collaborate with lead technologists to develop efficiency standards for technologist workflow to meet or exceed productivity and daily volume expectations. Assist in creating training programs to ensure MQSA and ACR requirements, quality assurance, clinical image quality, and quality control are met across the region. Train lead technologists on the image review process and how to document corrective actions for poor image quality. Provide training on risk assessment tools, patient questionnaires, use of state-of-the-art mammography and biopsy equipment, patient positioning techniques, and reporting systems. Represent and communicate the RadNet Mammography program’s vision and value to stakeholders. Collaborate with leadership and human resources to attract and retain qualified mammography technologists. Qualifications Must have current ARRT(R) certification and state license (for the Director’s home state) in diagnostic radiologic technology and mammographic radiologic technology. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and mammography-specific reporting platforms. Experience with specialized mammography screening equipment, biopsy systems, and supporting network tools. CPR certification is required. Maintain license and continuing education in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory rules and regulations. Ability to relate to the public in a professional and courteous manner; understand the organization’s objectives and the value of the screening mammography program. Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly and appropriately. The above knowledge, skills, and abilities may be demonstrated by completion of an accredited program, applicable licenses, and registrations/certifications. Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, curriculum development, and training skills. Medical-related skills/knowledge. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to interact effectively with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, leadership, and staff. Must provide 40 initial hours of training or attestation if registered on or after 10/1/94. Past management and leadership experience strongly preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including technologists, radiologists, managers, senior leaders, and representatives from the American College of Radiology and FDA. Ideal Candidate Will Possess Communicates professionally and harmoniously with supervision, co-workers, patients, visitors, and vendors. Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in performance. Follows all applicable employment laws and workplace regulations, including I-9, Harassment, EEOC, Civil Rights, and ADA. Follows OSHA regulations, RadNet and site protocols, policies, and procedures. Follows HIPAA, privacy, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times.
