GIS Specialist
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support geospatial initiatives, the full-time remote GIS Specialist will perform ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and ArcGIS Online, while also managing database development and data conversion tasks. Key responsibilities Conduct ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and ortho-derived building footprints Develop and implement efficient production tools and workflows in accordance with project plans Perform quality control on structure data and provide recommendations for process improvements Required qualifications 5-7 years of GIS Analyst experience utilizing GIS principles and practices Knowledge of SQL scripting for data retrieval from relational database management systems Familiarity with ArcObjects, VBA, and Python scripting Experience with core ESRI GIS software products, specifically ArcGIS Desktop and ArcSDE Some exposure to GIS application development using technologies like ASP.NET and C#
