Job Summary

The Lead Radiologic Technologist will provide leadership and is responsible for the effective ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency of the radiology department. The Lead Radiologic Technologist will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the imaging equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. The Lead Radiologic Technologist will spend 90% of time in direct patient care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Year / Associate Degree Preferred Graduate of an accredited Radiology program Required

2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography RT(R) Required

Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures, computer/information systems, equipment used in performing assigned duties, application of safety and infection control policies and procedures. Possesses abilities in team building, decision making, and conflict management. Able to perform and assist others with procedures and direct diagnostic radiology workflow. Applies advanced skills in area of specialization. Adapts procedures, protocols, techniques and equipment to meet special needs.

Physical Demands

Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.

The base compensation range for this role is $35.36 - $44.62 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
