Sr. Staff Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

Illumina seeks a Senior Staff Medical Science Liaison in Oncology to lead medical affairs strategy across the US, serving as a scientific resource for oncology stakeholders. The role involves managing relationships with key opinion leaders, conducting evidence-based scientific exchanges, and supporting research initiatives focused on genomic technologies and precision medicine.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Medical Affairs strategy in the US oncology market
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific stakeholders
- Provide objective, evidence-based scientific education and exchange presentations on oncology genomics
- Assess investigator-initiated trial protocol submissions and manage related projects
- Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific information regarding Illumina products
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive genomic profiling, minimal residual disease, and precision oncology testing
- Deep knowledge of oncology genomics, precision medicine, and relevant clinical literature
- Ability to conduct objective, non-promotional scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals and researchers
- Understanding of Illumina's product portfolio and recent medical/scientific advancements in genomics
- Experience managing relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific stakeholders
- Knowledge of oncology clinical workflows in molecular pathology and medical oncology settings
