Field MechanicTalon Recruiting has partnered with a Heavy Equipment company. They are in search of a Field Mechanic to join their team in Oswego, NY.Ideal Fit: The ideal fit will have extensive knowledge of Crane, Forklift or Industrial Equipment maintenance.Essential Duties:Read mechanical schematics and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.Read mechanical and machinist blueprints, and precision measuring instruments, then document findings on appropriate paperwork.Perform mechanical and welding-type duties on an as-needed basis and meet all requirements such as welding specs, rigging, and assembling cranes.Troubleshoot all sizes and types of cranes and mechanically determine problems and take corrective action.Work independently with little or no supervision.Provide Service Manager with accurate and complete information on mechanical machinery in order to install/replace/order replacement parts.Operate machinery in the shop and the field as needed such as saw, fork truck, cherry picker, high lift, torch welder, transit.Work in extreme conditions such as height, dirt, noise, vibration, nuclear environment, and temperature.Perform all assignments according to established procedures, guidelines and with recognized electrical codes.Compensation & Benefits:$26-$40+ hour based on experienceCompany TruckInsurance package401k
