Details Work in a 16-bed Cardiac ICU (CVCU) using the universal bed concept for pre/post open-heart surgery patients Also cares for general ICU, complex cardiology, IABP/Impella, and post-cardiac arrest cooling patients Patients remain in the same private room from surgery through discharge 1st shift schedule, 6:30a-7p, every other weekend 36 hours per week over 3 days, 12-hour shifts 0.9 FTE position Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact) BLS certification required ACLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for cardiac and complex ICU patients Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family-centered education Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction and safety metrics Clinical educator provides customized orientation for the unit First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-746223.
