About the Role:

The Maintenance Manager in the Accommodation and Food Services industry is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs, to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of technicians and coordinates with other departments to support seamless facility operations that enhance guest experience and operational productivity. They are also tasked with managing budgets, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring that all electrical and mechanical systems are functioning optimally. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment that supports the overall business objectives of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel maintenance management.
• Proven knowledge and experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and plant maintenance operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a maintenance team effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Maintenance Management or Facility Management (e.g., CMRP, CFMT).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting license and/or experience
• Advanced knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance programs including predictive and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
• Manage and lead the maintenance team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to guest services and daily operations.
• Monitor and maintain all electrical systems, facility infrastructure, and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline maintenance processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and compliance documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize impact on operations and guest satisfaction.

The Maintenance Manager applies their expertise in maintenance management daily by designing and executing maintenance schedules that prevent equipment failure and optimize operational uptime.
