As our Residential Construction Field Solutions Specialist , you will use cutting-edge software, field documentation systems, 3D measuring technology, digital project management tools, and cloud-based platforms to ensure projects are thoroughly documented and ready for production.

You'll spend time both in the field and in the digital workspace, collecting data, validating project details, creating electronic documentation packages, and helping our teams leverage technology to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Project Documentation & Technology

• Visit 2-3 customer homes daily to perform digital project assessments and field verification.
• Utilize iPads, mobile devices, laser measurement technology, and construction software to document project conditions.
• Create comprehensive digital project files using platforms such as BuilderTrend, MagicPlan, Microsoft 365, and other company systems.
• Generate accurate floor plans, room layouts, elevations, scope documentation, and supporting project information.
• Capture, organize, and upload project photos, videos, and field notes into cloud-based systems.
• Maintain complete electronic project records for Production, Installation, and Customer Service teams.

Technology & Data Management

• Serve as a field technology expert for project data collection and validation.
• Assist with implementation and adoption of new software platforms and operational systems.
• Verify project information across multiple company databases and software platforms.
• Support process improvements through technology utilization and workflow optimization.
• Ensure data accuracy between sales documentation, field measurements, estimates, and production requirements.
• Troubleshoot project discrepancies using digital records and field-generated documentation.

Construction & Operations Support

• Conduct detailed scope reviews to ensure projects can be built safely, efficiently, and according to customer expectations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Production, and Installation Managers to identify project challenges before construction begins.
• Review project plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding residential construction methods, materials, and installation requirements.
• Participate in production, technology, and project coordination meetings.

Technology Skills

• Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Experience utilizing tablets, mobile applications, cloud-based software, and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to manage digital files, project databases, and electronic records with exceptional accuracy.
• Comfortable working across multiple software platforms simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail when entering, reviewing, and validating data.

Construction Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, home improvement, project management, or related industries.
• Understanding of residential building systems, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, accessibility, and exterior improvements.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience performing field measurements and site evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

Technology Experience

• Experience with BuilderTrend, MagicPlan, CompanyCam, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SketchUp, CRM systems, or similar construction software.
• Experience creating digital floor plans, site documentation, or as-built drawings.
• Background in technology implementation, software training, or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience utilizing AI-powered productivity tools and Microsoft Copilot.

Construction Experience

• Kitchen and bathroom remodeling experience.
• ADA accessibility and aging-in-place project experience.
• Window, door, siding, and exterior renovation experience.
• OSHA certifications or safety training.
• Vocational training, trade school education, or industry certifications.

 

Physical Requirements

This position combines office technology work and active field inspections. Candidates must be comfortable:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing during field visits.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Traveling throughout the service area daily.
• Using tablets, laptops, smartphones, and measuring devices for extended periods.
