Facilities Maintenance Technician – Gilliatte General Contractors. Full‑time position located in Indianapolis. Gilliatte has been in business for 40 years, is licensed in 38 states, and employs over 45 dedicated staff. Troubleshoot issues to determine required repairs. Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals. Perform general repairs not requiring specialized technicians, including drywall, painting, plumbing, appliances, light electrical, doors and other building fixtures. Perform routine maintenance on building systems. Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities. Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Use hand tools and power tools. Experience in apartment maintenance or facilities maintenance strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Moving Vehicle Report. Background check may be required. Education & Experience 1+ years of related experience in the commercial or residential fields. On‑the‑job training offered. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking. Physical ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
