RN - IR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience in radiology-related procedures such as Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Biopsies, and Drainage.Experience in monitoring sedation patients. Description:Assist the Interventional Radiologist with imaging invasive procedures.Coordinate the Interventional Radiology physician schedule.Collaborate with floor nurses regarding patient care.Work with imaging technicians regarding procedures.Assist with sedations and patient monitoring.Place peripheral intravenous (PIV) lines as necessary.RNs will not have to scrub in but may need to wear sterile gloves to hold pressure. Common diagnoses and types of patients include a wide range of cases from pediatric to geriatric.The average number of cases per day varies between 8 to 10.Charting will be done using a specified electronic medical record system.There will be an imaging director and manager present on weekdays.Nurses will rotate charge assignments.Imaging technicians will provide support in the department.No call requirements on weekdays or weekends.Scrub color/dress code will be navy blue.There will be unit-specific orientation for the position.The department cancellation policy allows for a maximum of four shift cancellations over a 13-week assignment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
