Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor (PSR-SQS-TEL) Telford, England Salary: GBP60000 - GBP70000 per annum PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be project and site based, with their office based in Telford and projects across the Midlands region. Responsibilities Ensuring robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at all levels Ensuring accurate cash flow reporting is implemented and reported Carrying out detailed cost management including forecasting and communicating the results as required Updating the Cost Value Reconciliation and commercial plans throughout project lifecycle Supporting the internal commercial processes ensuring adherence across the project Actively seeking to improve processes and procedures through innovation and challenge Developing a deep understanding of the processes and procedures used by any JV/Alliance that we work with, supporting and assist in their development and improvement Developing successful external relationships by ensuring that contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate for the business with commercial risks identified Ensuring that the supply chain are engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions Building and maintaining excellent internal and external client relationships Responsibility for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting Preparing applications for payment, liaising with the contacts and/or client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Familiarity and qualified in using industry-standard contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT) and understanding of construction law Experience in quantity surveying within the MEICA water and wastewater treatment industry or similar Previous experience of commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis and knowledge and experience in estimation and cost analysis In-depth knowledge of cost management, tendering, and procurement processes Experience working for Tier 1 Civil Engineering projects (desirable) Valid driving licence Benefits Based in Telford 25 days annual leave in addition to 8 public bank holidays and loyalty days Company pension #J-18808-Ljbffr
