Summary

This position is located at: Lone Star Conference Center- Fort Hood, Texas.

The Lone Star Conference Center consists of 10 well-equipped and sophisticated rooms to accommodate gatherings and celebrations, a decorating department and sales office. Dedicated to preserving military tradition, to include military ceremonies, festive weddings and parties.

This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis.

Duties

Help

• Mows grass, lays sod, weeds flowerbeds, trims and edges walkways and lawns; prunes shrubs and trees, applies fertilizer, waters plants and cleans out drainage ditches.
• Digs, fills and tamps soil and gravel in ground excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; stacks and arrange supplies for storage.
• Cleans rugs and drape, wax and polish floors using heavy duty industrial- powered equipment; adjusts, cleans, oils and changes attachments on machines.
• Washes and replaces room fixtures using ladders and scaffolds; uses chemicals, cleaning solutions and maintains stock of cleaning materials and implements used.
• Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment. Performs other duties as required.

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekdays, and weekends.
• Must be willing to complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Three (3) month of laboring experience required. Must have the ability to use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and ability to follow

oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervisor of each task assigned.

Allowances and Differentials

• This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
