About the Job MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology. TheUltrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stresstestsand AFI's.Assistswith amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures. Primary Duties: Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound examsutilizingdifferent scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested. Evaluates images for quality. Photographsappropriate imagesutilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians. Entersdata to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursingstaffand schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly. Mayassistin training and education of patients, employees, physicians,studentsand/or other healthcare professionals. Cleans andsterilizesequipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. Maybe responsible fororassistincontrolinventory andpurchasing ofsupplies for assigned area. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound. 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound. RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered or successful completion of certification within 180 Days.
