Position: Seasonal Small Engine Service Technician
Location: Shawano, WI
Employment Type: FullTime

About the Role
Were looking for a skilled and reliable Small Engine Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy handson mechanical work, solving problems, and helping customers keep their equipment running at its best, this is a great fit. Youll work on a wide range of equipmentfrom lawn mowers and snow blowers to chainsaws, generators, and other smallengine tools.

What Youll Do

Diagnose and repair small engines, including 2stroke and 4stroke models
Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tuneups, blade sharpening, belt replacement, carburetor cleaning
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuelsystem issues
Rebuild or replace engines when needed
Test equipment before and after repairs to ensure proper performance
Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and costs
Maintain accurate service records and parts usage
Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized

What Were Looking For

Mechanical experience with small engines or similar equipment
Ability to read service manuals and follow diagnostic procedures
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Good communication and customerservice mindset
Ability to lift and move equipment as needed

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

Certifications from Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Honda, Stihl, or similar
Previous experience in a repair shop or dealership
Basic computer skills for logging repairs and ordering parts
