IT Security Specialist, Cybersecurity Analyst

Salary: $113,745 - 119,172 per year Requirements:

• We want candidates with competency in computer network defense, information assurance, information systems and network security, systems testing and evaluation, and web technology.
• We are looking for experience and knowledge in incident management, vulnerability assessment, and identity management.
• We prefer training in computer science, information systems, information assurance, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• We value professional certification in information systems security.
• We expect professional experience assessing infrastructure and data for vulnerabilities in software and hardware, along with evaluating the effectiveness of existing security controls.
• Some roles may require current or future certifications such as CISSP or Security+.
• This position is open to Alaska residents only.
• We require successful completion of a background investigation and security clearance through the Division of Public Safety, including fingerprinting.

• We will have you serve as the lead analyst for email and identity security, monitoring and triaging threats across enterprise platforms.
• You will independently handle complex assignments and resolve issues that go beyond routine solutions.
• You will track identity-based threats closely and carry out remediation actions when needed.
• You will develop methods and processes to investigate and solve security problems that require a nonstandard approach.
• You will administer and support enterprise security tools such as EDR, secure email and web gateways, DNS security, SOAR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, and identity protection systems.
• You will perform daily alert analysis and incident response to determine severity, contain threats, and restore secure operations.
• You will search and analyze logs from multiple sources to support investigations, requests, audit activity, and compliance work.
• You will participate in week-long on-call rotations as part of our 24/7 cybersecurity response team.
• You will review security reports, audit results, and technical findings and provide recommendations and documentation to the Security Operations Manager.
• You will travel as needed to datacenters or state offices for on-site troubleshooting, remediation, or emergency response using state vehicles.
