Location: CA, US Flexible Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Category: Aircraft Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Career Level: Technicians / Crew Requisition Id: 6070 Position Summary The technician reports to the Avionics Manager / Avionics Supervisor and is responsible for executing tasks according to Repair Station Manual procedures and manufacturer specifications. Each technician must be certified in accordance with FAR Part 145.151 to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and alterations. Shift Mon-Fri 7am-4pm Responsibilities Be thoroughly familiar with the contents of the Repair Station Manual and the Quality Manual. Perform tasks assigned by the Avionics Manager, Avionics Supervisor or Lead. Ensure all tasks assigned and completed conform to industry standards, OEM Technical Data & the company’s RSM/QCM manuals. Comply with all safety, efficiency and quality standards, including HAZMAT and OSHA. Maintain shop equipment and tooling. Maintain personal appearance and uniforms to company standards. Perform avionics systems testing, troubleshooting, maintenance & installations. Keep the shop, work spaces and aircraft work areas clean and organized. Act as directed by Avionics Manager, Avionics Supervisor and Lead Technicians. Skills and Abilities Ability to follow instructions, lead and work independently with minimal or no supervision in times of high demand & AOGs. Willingness to learn new airframes, cabin management/entertainment systems and avionics systems. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Accountable, trustworthy and dependable. Comfortable working as part of a team, providing guidance and training to Tech I personnel. Effectively interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Corporate aviation experience on installations & troubleshooting with comprehensive understanding of avionics & electrical systems, operations, interfacing and testing with avionics test equipment (IFR4000, IFR6000, DPS500, Laversa B6300, ATC600 or equivalent). Willing to travel and provide on-call & weekend support when required or as scheduled. Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel & Corridor. Understanding of FAR’s. Extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of hand tooling, wirestrippers and crimpers. Must possess own tools. Military avionics schooling and experience will be considered. Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 5-1/2 to 12 years of Military or Corporate Aircraft Avionics experience. Pt 91/135 experience preferred. Compensation The likely pay range for this position is $46.00-$51.00/hr. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, hourly wage will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements.
