Operations Supervisor - 2:30pm- 12am

Job Summary The Operations Supervisor assists the Operations Manager I and II (or Sr. Operations Manager I and II) in managing the operations and personnel for the 2nd Shift (2:30pm–12am). The supervisor is responsible for ensuring business objectives are met while balancing financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset targets. Essential Functions Workflow Management: plan and schedule work, assign technicians, track productivity, run shift and shop meetings, review and approve RO. Ensure all warranty policies and procedures are followed. Triage unscheduled customer drive‑ins and communicate with customers to assign work appropriately. Conduct yard checks to prioritize and schedule work effectively. Labor Management: train, develop, and manage all personnel; conduct performance management. Customer Management: maintain customer relationships, resolve issues, ensure vehicle uptime, manage communication protocols, and conduct customer visits as needed. Asset Management: oversee shop appearance and maintenance, recommend tooling and equipment, manage vehicle as‑service/out‑service processes, and maintain inventory and specifications. Quality Management: inspect PM & repairs, conduct in‑process reviews of non‑PM work, perform root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions, ensure cleanliness, and maintain quality documentation. Financial Management: meet Net Maintenance Cost per Unit objectives, control the maintenance‑operations budget, manage P&L, execute initiatives to hit financial targets, approve purchase orders, and reconcile invoices and fuel. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Professional representation of Ryder and effective customer communication. Strong vehicle diagnostics/repair knowledge (preferred). Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (preferred). Ability to manage cross‑functional responsibilities. Qualifications H.S. diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred. 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment required; demonstrations of success in a Ryder role may substitute for experience. Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience with a Shop Management System preferred. DOT regulated.
