Kennel Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they are healthy, safe, and comfortable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong skills in handling various breeds of dogs and other pets. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service to both the animals and their owners. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and behaviors. Support veterinary technicians or assistants in administering medications or treatments. Participate in training sessions for dogs as necessary to promote good behavior. Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling animals. Experience Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred but not required. Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant can enhance your application. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self‑motivated.
