Manager-Hospital Pharmacy Operations

This position is responsible for performing the management functions of strategic marketing, financial planning, organizational awareness and planning, employee development, decision input, professional and technical expertise in setting objectives, and planning and directing activities of assigned areas of responsibility. Position Details: Education: Requires a Bachelor's Degree. Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy. Experience: At least five years of demonstrated hospital clinical experiences or completed ASHP Hospital Pharmacy Residency. Certifications: (none specified). Other: Manager will have the following skills: Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Well developed writing skills sufficient to design comprehensive and concise reports and proposals. Skill in developing and effectively delivering oral presentations. General knowledge of data processing operations sufficient to ensure the development of program specifications for data input, data retrieval and report preparation. Skill in effectively applying counseling techniques in the resolution of staff conflict. Skill in identifying and recommending training needs of staff. Knowledge of the skill to direct all activities of assigned departments, to include: Supervising the development and implementation of quality control procedures as directed. Supervising a multi-disciplinary team as directed. Supervising the development, implementation, and promotion of new programs as directed. Why Mercy?
