Adjunct- Nuclear Engineering

The Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department of the College of Engineering seeks candidates for an Adjunct position. Position Responsibilities Teaching Nuclear Engineering courses via in-person and synchronous online delivery. Preparing and delivering lectures in alignment with current course-level learning objectives. Preparing and assigning homework problems and exams related to the course. Grading homework problems and exams, and assigning final course grades. Collecting assessment data and sample student work, as needed. Holding office hours, answering student questions, and providing timely responses to email, as needed. Required Qualifications MS, Ph.D., or relevant work experience in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or a closely related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of nuclear science, energy, and technology. Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct at VCU.
