Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Georgetown, Texas patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide customer service. Monday–Friday schedule (7:30 AM–4:00 PM) with potential weekend and overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other assays
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately and timely
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
• Process billing information and collect patient payments as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from accredited program or equivalent work experience
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to work independently and in team environments
• Preferred: 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical or hospital setting
• Preferred: 1+ years assisting diverse patient populations (pediatric to geriatric)
