Assistant Site Manager

DashMart is a local‑fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, offering customers household essentials and other items to their doorsteps with speed, reliability, and quality. About the Role In this role you’ll work within a 5‑15k sq ft distribution center, assist in leading the local warehouse operating team, and in some locations prepare food in a light‑prep kitchen. You will help the Site Manager ensure we maintain high quality for our customers. Responsibilities Lead: Demonstrate compassion and commitment to inclusivity while leading a team of hourly Operations Associates and Shift Leads. Hire, coach, and develop high‑performing team members, build a safety‑first culture, serve as a change agent, and tackle onsite escalations with cross‑functional partners. Operate: Drive results in one or more specific focus areas or a specific shift, manage scheduling and inventory processes, execute best practices, and engage cross‑functional partners as needed for support. Strategize: Analyze data and recommend strategic actions for resource allocation, workflow, warehouse organization, and cross‑functional engagement. Lead process improvement projects when appropriate. Delight: Coach and empower your team to provide a highly quality customer experience with every order. Measure success with order accuracy and fulfillment speed, and collaborate with central teams to ensure the team has the necessary tools and resources. Qualifications You’re a proven leader. Managed high‑performance teams of 5+ employees with successful performance and employee development outcomes. You relish ownership. Excited to own a rapidly growing business, ready to show up however needed. You solve problems from first principles. Innovative problem‑solving mindset, not bound by tradition. You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Thrive in ambiguous, startup environments. You’re analytical. Use data to win arguments, experienced with Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas and pivot tables. You have 3+ years’ experience in Operations, Warehouse Logistics, Customer Service, Retail Management, Fulfillment, or related fields. You have 1+ years of experience managing a team. You have flexibility in your schedule. Willing to support late‑night and weekend hours as the site leader requires. Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
