The primary goal of this role is to maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock movements, conducting regular audits, and reconciling discrepancies to prevent loss and overstock situations. This role involves collaborating closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast demand and streamline supply chain operations. The Inventory Control specialist will also be responsible for implementing and improving inventory control procedures to enhance operational workflows and reduce costs. Ultimately, this position supports the organization's ability to meet customer demand promptly while minimizing inventory-related risks and expenses. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in business, logistics, or related field preferred. Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations. Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to perform physical inventory counts and work in a warehouse environment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related discipline. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Knowledge of lean inventory practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights. Responsibilities: Monitor and track inventory levels using inventory management software to ensure accuracy and availability. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock quantities and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by coordinating with warehouse staff and other departments. Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly. Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, trends, and variances for management review. Assist in training warehouse and inventory staff on proper inventory handling and control techniques. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory management. Skills: The required skills such as proficiency in inventory management software and strong organizational abilities are essential for accurately tracking and maintaining inventory records on a daily basis. Attention to detail ensures that discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly, preventing costly errors.
