The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 per hour. Placement within the salary range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement follows collective bargaining agreement rules. Benefits

A Registered Nurse is clinically competent, registered, professional, prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining professional standards. Utilizes critical thinking, therapeutic communication, and interpersonal relationship building skills to improve team effectiveness, system processes and patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Responsibilities Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate care delivery and evaluate progress toward outcomes. Direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in providing direct patient care. Involve patient/family in participation in their care, including teaching, continuum of care and discharge planning. Perform all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors, incorporating National Patient Safety Goals. Adequately assess and reassess pain; utilize appropriate pain management techniques; educate patient and family regarding pain management methods. Demonstrate effective hand-offs to the next healthcare provider. Assume required on-call assignments.
