14287 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, USA Overview Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions can be found below. Responsibilities Facilities Associates: Unloading and loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, and janitorial duties. The Facilities Associate position is labor intensive. Production Associates: Pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor. Sales Floor Associates: Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant. Other available positions: Box Truck Driver, Dispatcher, and Supervisor. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, back of house, or customer facing experience is preferred, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform job functions: capable of safely and effectively performing essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards, including meeting productivity requirements. Physical strength: may lift and carry up to 40-70 lbs occasionally, frequently up to 25 lbs, and handle objects with light to moderate force. Endurance: able to stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity: proficient in repetitive motions and using hands and fingers. Fine motor skills: skilled in seizing, holding, grasping, turning, and manipulating small objects. Balance and agility: capable of maintaining balance on varied surfaces and during agile tasks. Visual acuity: clear vision at close and distance ranges. Environment: work is dynamic and busy; ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Noise level: work environment is noisy due to activity on the sales floor and production area. Lighting: bright lighting throughout the store environment. Interactions: regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers; effective communication is required. Flexibility: role may require switching tasks or departments based on operational needs. Language Requirements Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English; however, a basic understanding of written and spoken English may be necessary for understanding instructions and communicating with customers and colleagues.
